Miss M said she wanted to help, so she washed her hands and aproned up. I have slight control-freak tendencies where the kitchen is concerned so was feeling a little nervous!
We used our usual Women's Weekly recipe, Miss M measured out all the ingredients and did a great job of controlling the Kenwood. There was a small mishap with one of the eggs, but generally all good.
Naturally The Brothers all wanted this very important job.
She even insisted on putting them in the oven but then decided that she didn't like that bit and wouldn't be doing it next time we bake.
It was bedtime by the time we got around to decorating so she got to do a couple then I followed her theme - sunshines, butterflies, caterpillars, snails and flowers, then whatever was left to make circles!
Hope the kids like them tomorrow, they're not quite up to the usual school standard!
Wow, I'd buy any (or all) of them! Well done girls, you should be proud of yourselves. x
ReplyDeleteThey look fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteDo I notice a little glass of something in one of those photos Mrs McD!!!
ReplyDeleteThey look fantastic. Now I'm wondering what the usual standard can be like if you think these aren't as good! I love your colourful kitchen tiles too. We got our kitchen fitted 6 years ago and I still haven't tiled it. I was going to do a mosaic but time is against me. Colourful tiles might be nice though...
ReplyDeleteThank you! The standards are pretty high but all the other offerings seemed to be pink and sparkly so these ones went down well with the boys!
ReplyDeleteWe loved the tiles too, one of the reasons we chose this house. We only meant to stay for 6 months but we've now been here 2 years! Thankfully we have a lovely landlord!
And yes, there was a little something - well after the yard arm!
I love your cupcakes - so pretty!!!
