Thought I'd share some WIPs with you today.
You'll remember the long story of the blanket for Miss M that ended up on the other side of the world as a gift for a new baby, well, my mission was to make her another one so... I started with these lovely, bright Granny Squares that I am going to join up when there are enough to cover a single bed.
But then I came across this gorgeous wool...
It is such a pleasure to hook and works up very quickly thanks to being nice and chunky and using a size 7mm hook. One more ball, maybe 2?
My other Granny Square blanket is coming on rather more slowly due to 4-ply wool and a 3.5mm hook.
And last but not least, I saw these colours on offer and thought they would make a lovely circle-in-a-square blanket.
I've also been asked to make some more stretchy hair bands and I'm thinking of gold and silver this time. Also soon be time to start with the old Christmas decorations...!
Hope the sun is shining wherever you are! x
I am LOVING your WIP's Sandra, something so cosy and beautiful about the crocheted granny blankies :o) All of the colours look so lovely and go well together. What a talent you have! xo
ReplyDeleteYour blankets look AMAZING! And the last 4 squares are really extremely incredibly pretty! I really like these dulcet tones of the yarns you are using! Really really pretty!

Your WIPs are all gorgeous! I tried to pick a favourite but couldn't. Looking forward to seeing them finished, no pressure now!
ReplyDeleteYour WIP's look beautiful, lovely selection of colours. I'm still hooking away at my ripple blanket using a 4mm hook it feels like it's going to take me a long time to get finished. Your work is lovely Sandra. xo
ReplyDeleteYour blankets are beautiful! I like that you used a variegated yarn on the giant granny. Might have to try that one. :)
ReplyDeleteI like all the granny projects you are working on, you are very good with colours.
